Ron Paul's principles didn't need to evolve over generations of advocating liberty; the liberty movement evolved from Dr. Paul's principles. From 1979 to 2013, Congress was aghast at Paul's decency, consistency, and Texas-sized cajones. All of Washington, DC, couldn't understand how he could speak truth to power and continue to be insouciantly elected, year after year, flouting all the BS with a humble smile. And normally, he couldn't. Let's be straight about that. He was there to deliver the bad news, but with the sort of bedside manner anyone in a tough spot appreciates and remembers. And in a place like Washington, if you start telling the truth all the time, well, the word will get out. Boy did he make the best enemies.
