Yuri Bezmenov was a Soviet defector who talked about the four stages of ideological subversion. His famous VHS grainy interview with G. Edward Griffin has been a classic since the 80s amongst patriot OGs, and has even been featured in Call of Duty promos.
Yuri Bezmenov's four stages of ideological subversion are a model for understanding how Marxist-Leninist doctrine can be used to influence and undermine a target country or institution from within. He outlines these stages as: demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and finally normalization.
The normalization stage is the fourth and final stage of the process. In this stage, the subversives have successfully infiltrated the government and other key institutions of society, and have begun to implement their agenda. They may still be working covertly, or they may have gained positions of power and be openly pursuing their goals.
This stage is marked by a gradual acceptance of the new ideology and the eventual rejection of the old values. This process can take years, and it often results in a person who is completely devoted to the new ideology. In effect, the “new normal.”
