Amidst the pandemonium of what goes down in history as one of the wildest national conventions, Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey snagged the nomination in Chicago. It was a year of pure chaos, my friends. And here's the kicker: Humphrey later dropped the bombshell that if he clinched the victory, he'd pull the troops out of Vietnam. Nixon's lead in the polls started to wither away like a wilting flower.
Rumor has it that if they held the election just a week later in November, the Vice President might have been the one taking the big seat. Now, we can't say for sure what would've gone down, but what we do know is this: it was one of the wildest, most pivotal moments in American political history.
We're commemorating that summer of '68 with this design, created back then and slapped on campaign merchandise like nobody's business. The combed cotton blend makes it super soft, comfortable, and lightweight.
