The Sumpftarnmuster pattern is one of WWII's most distinctive camouflage designs — and one of the least faithfully reproduced. We changed that.
Our in-house Sumpftarnmuster reconstruction was built by closely studying early WWII examples and tracking the subtle ways the pattern shifted across manufacturers and production runs. Rather than copying a single reference, we made deliberate choices about shape, spacing, and contrast to create a 21st-century version that preserves the original camouflage intent while reading cleanly on modern clothing.
The result lives on a performance rash guard built for real use — sun, surf, sand, and wind. Slim-fitted with flat ergonomic seams and a longer body for coverage that stays put when you move. Swim trunks seen here.
Fabric & Construction
- 75% recycled polyester / 25% elastane (US/Mexico production)
- 82% polyester / 18% elastane (Latvia production)

- Four-way stretch — recovers on both cross and lengthwise grains
- Flat seam and coverstitch construction
- Made in North America or Europe
Fit & Care This guard runs small and fitted. Size up for a more relaxed fit. Rinse thoroughly after each use to remove chlorine or salt — it'll extend the life of the print and fabric significantly.
