"You may all go to Hell, & I will go to Texas." - Davy Crockett.
In 1835 Davy Crockett was defeated in his last bid for a seat as Tennessee Congressman. Outraged, he dropped this famous quote and left Tennessee in November 1835, and moved to East Texas looking for land and adventure. He found his end defending the Alamo.
