On June 17, 1775, colonial militia behind hastily built defenses faced repeated assaults by British regulars outside Boston. They repelled the first two attacks and withdrew only after their ammunition ran low during the third. Technically, most of the fighting happened on Breed’s Hill. History kept the better name.
This original blue-and-white historical pattern depicts the Battle of Bunker Hill across a landscape of earthworks, advancing infantry, artillery, smoke, trees, and distant church steeples. From across the room, it has the composed look of traditional toile. Up close, the lines break into a battlefield already proving the Revolution would not be easily put down.
The substantial 5.6 oz. cotton jersey gives the shirt a clean structure and smooth feel. A small amount of elastane adds comfortable stretch, helps the regular fit retain its shape, and makes the fabric easier to move in. The material is pilling-resistant and built for repeated wear.
