Toile, pronounced “twahl,” is the fancy French name for fabric covered in repeating illustrated scenes. Traditionally, those scenes feature pastoral landscapes, country estates, and people having a suspiciously peaceful afternoon.
Normandy ’44 uses that same historic French style to depict the liberation of France. Look closely and you’ll find Sherman tanks, German armor, paratroopers, hidden snipers, hedgerow firefights, field guns, motorcycles, medics, and dozens of small battlefield stories woven into one original panoramic pattern.
From across the room, it looks like an intricate olive green-and-white textile. Up close, all hell breaks loose.
The soft, substantial fabric has a smooth cotton-like exterior and warm brushed-fleece interior. Its relaxed unisex fit, drop shoulders, double-lined hood, and premium metal hardware make it comfortable enough for everyday wear and unusual enough to deserve the word “unique” for once. The print doesn't fade and should last many years.
