The distinctive Airforce roundel was put into place in 1943, the U.S. ditched the yellow outlines and red center dot a couple of years prior worried about confusion with the Japanese Imperial zeros in the fog of war. By 43 they introduced solid white bars to either side of the insignia to further distinguish our planes from the enemy. This scheme was held until well after VE day.
Our shirts are printed in the US, with a pre-distressed look on soft 32 singles combed ringspun cotton shirts that have a modern tapered silhouette with side-seamed construction. As these are unisex, ladies may want to size down one size for a more contoured fit. For gentlemen, the shirts are true to size and have a longer length of about 1 inch as compared to most premium tees.
