France gave the world toile. We gave it a bazooka.
Toile, pronounced “twahl,” traditionally covers fabric with repeating pastoral scenes: country estates, landscapes, and people having a suspiciously peaceful afternoon.
Normandy ’44 uses that historic French style to depict the liberation of France. Look closely and you’ll find Sherman tanks, German armor, paratroopers, hidden snipers, hedgerow firefights, field guns, motorcycles, medics, and dozens of small battlefield stories worked into one original panoramic pattern.
From across the room, it looks like an intricate olive green-and-white French textile. Up close, all hell breaks loose.
Printed on both sides of substantial 100% cotton, this pillow brings the full Normandy ’44 pattern into a room without turning it into a military surplus depot. The structured midweight fabric keeps the artwork crisp, while the hidden zipper keeps the hardware out of the way.
