    In 1980, Ed Clark ran for president on an idea Washington still regards as dangerously experimental: peace.

    The Libertarian nominee opposed the draft, advocated a noninterventionist foreign policy, and warned that an expanding arms race threatened bankruptcy and nuclear war. Running with David Koch, Clark earned a place on the ballot in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., the first minor-party presidential campaign in 60 years to achieve nationwide ballot access.

    This shirt revives Clark’s original dove-and-olive-branch “Vote for Peace” campaign design. It is a piece of Libertarian Party history for antiwar libertarians, principled independents, and anyone who thinks Vote for Peace has aged considerably better than most campaign promises.
