The Erbsenmuster ("pea pattern") is one of the most influential camouflage designs ever made. Developed in WWII, it was engineered to work across forests, fields, and urban terrain with its irregular patches of black, brown, and green on a pale base. It later inspired the Leibermuster pattern, which went on to shape Switzerland's iconic Alpenflage. Textile nerds and history buffs have been obsessed with it ever since.
Now it's a beanie. Handknitted, warm, and wearing one of the most storied patterns in military design history.
This beanie is individually knit for you after you place your order — not pulled from a shelf. That means it takes a little longer to reach you, but it also means you're getting something made with actual care rather than cranked out on a production line.
Because each piece is knitted by hand, slight color variations from the mockup are part of the charm — no two are exactly alike. For best results, wash at 30–40°C. A little light shrinkage after the first wash is normal and will settle with wear.
