Military history has rarely looked this civilized.
The Battle of Bunker Hill unfolds across this cotton skater dress in finely detailed blue-and-white toile. British lines advance through smoke and uneven ground as colonial defenders hold their earthworks, all arranged into a pattern that first looks like a classic decorative textile and then reveals an entire Revolutionary War battlefield.
Each dress is individually printed on substantial cotton-rich fabric, then cut and sewn by hand. The artwork becomes part of the garment itself, flowing from the fitted bodice into the flared skirt instead of sitting on top of a finished dress. It is an unusual piece of historical clothing made with the care of a genuinely constructed garment.
The heavyweight 8.85 oz. fabric has a smooth, medium-soft feel and enough structure to hold the skater silhouette. Five percent elastane adds comfortable stretch through the fitted top, while the mid-thigh skirt falls into a clean, easy flare. Overlock seams and a coverstitched hem give the dress a durable finished edge.
