This Mask Creates Fascists Premium face mask

You just want a mask for when you're forced by a national government decree by an autocratic federal executive to cover your mouth and nose, but you want to creatively and possibly humorously note that it is due to government overreach.

Well, you're in luck. This reusable face mask will fit you nicely thanks to its adjustable nose wire and elastic bands while you step another day into a dystopian paradise for authoritarians using a public health emergency to push for their political agenda.

Here is some more superfluous copy about the origins of this mask and its design.

Fascism, much-ballyhooed on the internet as some sort of exotic fringe idea based on hate, is quite a mainstream dictatorial flavor of the century in actuality. Born often as a historical overreaction to the threat of communism and a sneering dissatisfaction with classical liberalism, it's typically the product of government and big business merging into one to fight a common enemy, even if it's basically only imagined. Enter the scapegoat!

But you already know all of this, of course.

"This Machine Kills Fascists" was a sticker on legendary American folk singer Woody Guthrie's guitar, that has inspired many generations of artists to use their craft as a vehicle for challenging injustice in the world through creativity and elevating the human spirit. Woody stated that the idea came from the inscription “ESTA MÁQUINA MATA FASCISTAS” painted on the sides of Republican airplanes used in the Spanish Civil War to fight Franco's forces such as this Polikarpov I-15 below.

At the time number of writers and artists were inspired and even, in the case of George Orwell, migrated to Spain to fight or lend a hand themselves. In fact, people from various different political perspectives united to support the republican cause against Franco. Early on, a coalition of anarchists, Trotskyites, socialists, and Stalinists combined forces to fight Franco's fascist regime until Stalinists began ruthlessly murdering their Spanish Republican allies in a craven attempt to gain power. In George Orwell's Homage to Catalonia, (Which I designed a cover for a few years ago) the author gives his account of his fighting with the republicans bravely before narrowly escaping Stalinist death squads. (Incidentally, I'm happy to say I did the cover for Orwell's Homage to Catalonia for Random House.
