Triblend: A Brief Guide to Awesomeness by Liberty Maniacs

Most people that try tri-blend shirts seek them out again. And then again, and again. From our company data over the past 20 years we’ve noticed that it’s more than likely that our patrons never actually go back to anything else if they can help it.

    Here is why.

Check it out. In this case, three materials is better than one.Triblend Infographic

    1. Tri-blends are soft as hell. Because they include the 25% rayon, 25% polyester, and 50% cotton, the fabric is incredibly soft to the touch, but the blend itself has more stretch as well, which follows the contours of your body. Plus the fabric is what we call 40 singles spun, which is like comparing your old crappy GI Joe bedsheets you had as a kid to 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets you buy for $200.
    2. Breathes like cotton. The fabric doesn’t keep heat trapped between the fabric and your skin. This is why you see pretty much every NBA player wearing a tri-blend tee when warming up.
    3. Wrinkle Resistance and moister wicking of polyester. Ready-to-go, wrinkle resistant tees. That pretty much speaks for itself.
    4. The amazing drape of rayon makes them fit awesome. They feel great, but they also tend to look better on more body types than any other fabric. Plus being half cotton means they don't feel too silky, like you're wearing a woman's blouse.
    5. Durability. Tri-blends last longer. The combined properties of each material make these shirts last longer than other materials. They also have less shrinkage. Your tri-blends will last years. I'm writing this now wearing a tee that's over 6 years old. It fits great, looks awesome, and feels even better than when I got it.

But remember to follow the cardinal rules of decorated t-shirt care to get the most out of your t-shirt. Wash on cold, and tumble dry on on low.

So what's the catch? There's always a catch, right?

Well, in the case of tri-blend, the main difference is that they cost more. All the awesomeness has a price. Our tri-blend tops are some of the most expensive we carry.

The 16-step process is difficult, time consuming, and very costly. A yard of the quality tri-blend fabric we use for our shirts is sometimes twice the price of the American combed ringspun cotton we use for our all cotton tees. The American tri-blends are even more expensive.

But awesome. As a rule of thumb, your tri-blend will last 3 times as long as your cotton tees. Usually longer. They almost always last longer than the print on them. So if you're into really retro looking natural distress or fading, your tri-blend will likely age for you like a fine Bordeaux.
