The cotton-rich outer face is smooth, the inside is heavily brushed, and the extra weight gives the oversized cut a better drape without making it feel stiff.
Three-end fleece uses a more substantial knit construction that gives the fabric added body and stability while keeping the inside soft and warm. It is one of the reasons this hoodie feels noticeably different the moment you pick it up.
