This shirt design is based off of the 1776 Gostelowe Battle Flag inscribed with an arm in armor with a drawn sword in its hand. The motto "Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God." Major Jonathan Gostelowe listed 13 standards, or regimental flags, in an inventory he conducted in 1778 for the Continental Army. Design of these flags is attributed to John Henderson. Some are lost to history, while others, like the "No. 10" here used to create this shirt's design is based from, are beautiful examples of the themes of liberty and resistance used in colonial times.
These soft vintage feel t-shirts come pre-washed and pre-shrunk, making sure that your size and color will hold up with time.
